ABOUT THIS EVENT

This course is designed for individuals who need information on valve maintenance and repair activities associated with common valves used in industrial applications. At the completion of this course, you will be able to identify and replace worn valve components: identify high wear components of valves; explain preventative maintenance; list indications that a valve requires corrective maintenance; discuss tag out procedures for valve isolations. You will also be equipped to demonstrate how to properly repack a valve: describe various types of packing and their applications; describe various types of gaskets and their applications; explain precautions associated with working with packing and insulation. This course is designed for mechanical maintenance technicians and assumes that the student is familiar with valve fundamentals.

PREREQUISITES

To successfully complete this course, the following prerequisites are required: - Understanding of mechanical systems and applications.
